If you love Pastor Charles Johnson and want to celebrate this major ministry milestone, please RSVP today!
On Sunday, May 31st at 10 am MST we will host a very special morning service to include special guests. Watch for updates below very soon!
The Segos from Macon, Georgia will bless you with their southern charm, music, and deep love for God's word.
Longtime friends from Memphis, Tennessee (who also pastored in Blytheville, Arkansas) will give wonderful testimonies of God's faithfulness and love available to all!
Pastor Charles excels in forming deep and lifelong friendships. You'll hear from some of these dear Coloradoan friends like Pastors Mel Waters, John Brannon, and Roy Stricklin.
As we near the celebration event, many others will agree to join the 10 am Morning Service celebration. If you are coming, RSVP today. Perhaps your name will be here, too! God bless you!
Please contact us if you cannot find answers to your question. If you are ready to commit, RSVP today.
As of today, we have limited information. As more people hear about this wonderful celebration and commit to participation, we will update the program details at the top of this web page. We will also communicate privately via email after your RSVP is received.
The Sunday morning service at 10 am on May 31st is no cost at all. Come and enjoy the celebration - we would love to see you! If attending from out of town, you will incur travel costs appropriate to your preferences. We are gathering hotel suggestions and prices now. That detail will be listed in this section soon.
Our volunteer team is working on a list for you now. We hope to have reasonable options for you very soon. Check this section again in a few days. Thanks for your patience!
It is our recommendation that you fly into the Colorado Springs airport (COS), if possible. It is only about 15-20 minutes from the church and most hotels. However, if this is not your desire, you might fly into the Denver Airport (DEN). Just know that travel will be an hour and a half or more depending on traffic. Sometimes the drive can be a bit stressful due to road work and "annoying" drivers. :)
While the celebration is on Sunday, May 31st, some may want to come early or stay later for sight-seeing, additional fellowship opportunities, and/or other vacation activities as part of their trip. We encourage it! Feel free to let us know if you plan to extend your visit and we'll try to offer some fun suggestions!
While we all have many fond memories to recall, some of us have tangible memorabilia (pictures, videos, mementos, etc.). If you want to share digital photos, video clips of Pastor Charles ministering, want to record your testimonial, or write an original poem/prose specific for the occasion, please let us know!
From an event perspective, we do not ask nor expect gifts or donations. However, many longtime friends and family have asked if they can give toward the celebration costs and/or to Pastor Charles directly. For those who WANT to help in these ways, we will list methods of donating or gift-giving here very soon. We are just excited for your participation and joy-filled attendance!
Aww! We will miss seeing you! But we totally understand. It is our hope to record the special morning service and make it available for viewing after the fact. If we are successful, updates will be communicated on this page in June 2026.
If you are attending in person on May 31st, kindly bring your gift with you. We will have a "Gift Card" drop-off. Pastor would love to keep your card and warm sentiments as his love language is "Words of Affirmation."
If you are not attending in person, gifts can be mailed to 7788 Chasewood Loop, Colorado Springs, CO 80908 (ATTN: 50 Years). If you prefer digital platforms, let us know and we can send instructions.
